Erectile Dysfunction Medical Treatment

ERECTILE DYSFUNCTION

E.D. (Erectile Disfunction) is a significant medical condition that affects nearly 20 million men annually in the United States. ED is characterized by when a man has a hard time achieving an erection or keeping an erection long enough to participate in sexual intercourse with his partner. E.D. is generally significantly more common as we get older, but unfortunately can happen at any age.
Erectile disfunction can be caused by many factors. Some of the more common are uncontrolled diabetes, hypertension, abnormal testosterone, or thyroid hormone levels, and emotional or personal distress.

WHAT CAUSES ERECTILE DYSFUNCTION?

Low testosterone and low growth hormone can cause erectile dysfunction. Others medical concerns include fatigue, depression, anxiety, decreased libido, obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease, all of which are also causes of erectile dysfunction. After low testosterone and low growth hormone due to aging, heart disease and diabetes are also contributing factors most common to cause erectile dysfunction.

WHAT ED TREATMENTS ARE AVAILABLE?

There are several treatment options available for erectile dysfunction. They range from testosterone therapy to E.D. pills (cialis and viagra) which are very similar in the way they work.
In cases where patients have other health issues, merely restoring testosterone levels is not always enough. The great news is that it is possible to use Testosterone Therapy and E.D. medication together. E.D drugs such as Sildenafil (Generic Viagra®) and Tadalafil (Generic Cialis®) also are dependent on Nitric Oxide (NOS). If you are low on testosterone, your body will not produce enough Nitric Oxide (NOS) to stimulate an erection.   With increased nitric oxide (NOS), E.D medication is far more likely to work.
So, when asking, “Can testosterone help erectile dysfunction?” the answer is definitely YES! Particularly if you use E.D medication as well.
